Getting help
For people with disabilities
We provide reasonable modifications and free appropriate auxiliary aids and services to communicate effectively with us, such as:
- Qualified sign language interpreters
- Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)
If English is not your first language
We provide free language assistance services, which may include:
- Qualified interpreters, in person, by video or by phone
- Information written in other languages
If you need reasonable modifications, auxiliary aids and services, or language assistance, call (860) 245-8832 (TTY: 711), email info@rivercrosshealthct.com, or tell us when you book or check in. Asking ahead helps us have an interpreter ready, but you can ask at any time. You do not need to bring your own interpreter, and we will not ask family members, or children, to interpret except in an emergency or if you ask for that and it is appropriate.
If you have a concern
If you believe that Rivercross Health has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex, you can file a grievance with us. You can do this in person, by phone, by mail, or by email. If you need help filing a grievance, we will help you.
You can also file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, electronically through the Office for Civil Rights Complaint Portal, available at ocrportal.hhs.gov, or by mail or phone at:
Complaint forms are available at hhs.gov/ocr/office/file.
